Functional Features:

  • 4–20 mA output for noise-immune transmission over long cable runs
  • Built-in signal conditioning electronics
  • Full bridge strain gauge measurement technology
  • Bidirectional torque sensing
  • Temperature-compensated output across full operating range

Structural Characteristics:

  • Dual-flange mounting interface
  • Precision-ground solid shaft
  • Hermetically sealed strain gauge chamber
  • Compact form factor for OEM integration

Working Principle:
Mechanical torque induces strain on an elastic sensing element. Four strain gauges arranged in a full Wheatstone bridge configuration detect the strain. The resulting millivolt signal is conditioned, temperature-compensated, and converted to a 4–20 mA current output proportional to applied torque.

Key Advantages:

  • Current loop output eliminates signal degradation over distance
  • High noise immunity suitable for electrically noisy industrial environments
  • Direct compatibility with Kollmorgen AKD-series servo drives
  • No external signal conditioner required

Applicable Industries:

  • CNC machine spindle monitoring
  • Printing press torque control
  • Conveyor drive systems
  • Textile machinery
  • Material testing equipment

Installation Requirements:

  • Align coupling faces within 0.05 mm TIR
  • Use torque-limiting coupling to protect sensor
  • Ground shield at drive end only to prevent ground loops

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not apply shock loads exceeding 3× rated torque
  • Verify zero offset before each operational cycle
  • Keep connector dry; replace cable gland if damaged
