Kollmorgen TT-2953-3076-TDC
Product Name: TT-Series Servo Motor Thermal Probe (KTY84 / PTC Resistive Trip, TDC variant)
Product Overview:
Mechanically identical sibling to TT-2953-3038-ADC but electrically passive: instead of 4–20 mA it presents a temperature-dependent resistance (KTY84-130 or PTC) directly to the drive thermal input. Used where the servo drive already contains the thermal-resistance evaluation table.
Detailed content
Technical Specifications:
-
Sensor Element: KTY84-130 silicon temp sensor or PTC thermistor (motor-grade)
-
Usable Range: 0–180 °C (linear portion)
-
Resistance Curve: KTY84 ≈ 1000 Ω at 25 °C, rises nonlinearly to ≈ 2600 Ω at 150 °C
-
Excitation: Supplied by drive feedback/thermal header (5 V or 24 V limited, < 2 mA)
-
Output: Raw resistance / discrete thermal trip to drive
-
Housing: Same stainless/PBT body as ADC sibling, IP65 probe tip
-
Cable: 2-wire shielded pigtail
Features:
No active electronics, immune to loop-power loss, direct drive-compatible, extremely long life, no calibration drift.
Working Principle:
Drive injects a small constant current; voltage across sensor changes with temperature; firmware compares against stored KTY/PTC table and triggers warning (90 °C), derate (120 °C) or STO trip (150 °C typical).
Applications: Kollmorgen S700/AKD native thermal input, retrofit where 4–20 mA card not present, resolver-equipped AKM motors without analog spare channels.
Installation & Notes:
Must match drive thermal-table setting (KTY84 vs PTC). Never substitute ADC active probe into TDC input—overvoltage destroys sensor header. Keep probe pigtail away from power leads.
