Kollmorgen SR1000-2G204C

Product Type: Single-axis brushless servo amplifier
Product Introduction:
SR1000-2G204C is a member of Kollmorgen’s older SR/S300/S600 servo drive lineage (commercialized before AKD took over mid-power slots). It provides closed-loop current, speed, and position control for synchronous AC servo motors such as AKM or Goldline.

Technical Specifications:
  • Input supply: 3-phase 208–480 VAC, 50/60 Hz
  • Continuous output current: approx. 10 A RMS (variant-dependent)
  • Peak current: 3× continuous for 5 s
  • Bus voltage: derived from AC mains, internally rectified
  • Control modes: torque, speed, position
  • Feedback: resolver, incremental encoder, sine/cosine, optional Hiperface
  • Fieldbus: optional Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen, Sercos II (via option card)
  • Switching: IGBT PWM, 8–16 kHz selectable
  • Protection: IP20, panel mount
  • Cooling: forced convection
Functional Features:
  • Digital current loop with high bandwidth
  • Auto-commissioning of motor parameters
  • Gain scheduling for inertial mismatch
  • Integrated regenerative braking transistor (external resistor)
Application Scenarios:
Retrofit of legacy machine tools, converting lines, material handling systems still running S-series drives.
Installation Requirements:
  • 19-inch cabinet or DIN-rail subpanel with 50 mm top/bottom clearance
  • External braking resistor for decelerating high-inertia loads
  • PE conductor ≥ motor power conductor size
Usage Notes:
  • Not EtherCAT-native; needs option card for modern PLC
  • Firmware frozen; no SIL3 STO in base unit
