Kollmorgen SR03000-000000
Product Introduction: The SR series (sometimes referenced as part of Kollmorgen’s intelligent drive lineage prior to AKD) provides microstepping control for 2-phase hybrid stepper motors, or in some contexts is a re-badged compact servo drive. The SR03000-000000 is a legacy part — modern equivalents are found in the Kollmorgen stepper drive (P5000 / P7000 series) or AKD with stepper mode. Some documentation lists it as a 3 A, 115/230 V AC input microstepping drive.
Detailed content
-
Typical Specifications (based on SR03000 class):
-
Input Power: 115 V AC or 230 V AC single-phase (some variants 140–310 V DC bus input capability)
-
Output Current: Programmable 0.5–3.0 A peak per phase (or 3 A continuous depending on variant)
-
Step Resolution: Up to 1/256 microstep (typical for Kollmorgen microstepping drives)
-
Control Inputs: Step / Direction / Enable (optically isolated 5–24 V), optional CW/CCW mode
-
Protection: Over-temperature, over-current, under-voltage lockout
-
Status Indicators: LED for power, fault, step activity
-
Mounting: DIN rail or panel mount; IP20
-
-
Features: Anti-resonance compensation, torque boost at low speed, idle current reduction, configurable step pulse filtering.
-
Applications: Conveyor indexing, lab automation, pump control, XYZ stages — where open-loop stepper precision with microstepping smoothness is sufficient.
-
Installation Notes: Set dip switches or use setup software (if programmable version) to match motor phase resistance/inductance and desired current; keep step/dir wiring away from motor power cables; use shielded twisted pair for step/dir signals.
-
Cautions: Legacy product — verify availability of replacement; for new designs Kollmorgen recommends P5000 stepper drives or AKD with stepper-compatible firmware.
