Working Principle
Single/three-phase AC mains filtered by integrated EMC circuit enters rectifier bridge to generate DC bus voltage; dual-core motion processor receives real-time motion and safety commands via EtherCAT bus, executes triple closed-loop control algorithm to output PWM drive signal to IGBT power stage to generate three-phase sinusoidal motor drive current. F2 SIL3 safety expansion card monitors dual-channel safety trigger signal independently of main control chip, instantly cuts power stage output and executes graded safety stop motion once safety violation detected. Encoder feedback signal transmits rotor position data back to main processor for closed-loop real-time correction.
Applicable Industries
CNC machine tool main and auxiliary safety axes, automated robotic workcell safety motion axes, packaging machinery high-speed cutting safety limited speed axes, lithium battery production winding safety positioning equipment, semiconductor handling safety limited travel axes
Installation Requirements
- Vertical DIN rail mounting; top heat dissipation gap ≥ 60 mm, bottom gap ≥ 40 mm, left/right gap ≥ 30 mm between adjacent drives
- High-power motor cable and low-signal safety/encoder/EtherCAT cable separate routing with metal shielding trunking
- Drive main housing and F2 safety card grounding terminal connected to cabinet protective earth bus with minimum 2.5 mm² copper wire
- Operating ambient temperature -10°C ~ +40°C; temperature above 40°C linear power derate implementation
- Cabinet forced air cooling mandatory when three or more S700 series drives densely installed in single cabinet
Usage Precautions
- F2 SIL3 safety circuit wiring must use dual redundant shielded cable; single line break will trigger safety stop immediately
- Do not hot plug F2 safety expansion card during drive power on; internal isolated safety circuit chip permanent damage occurs
- Select matched external brake resistor for high-inertia load rapid deceleration to avoid DC bus overvoltage fault
- Firmware upgrade must use official Workbench software; third-party firmware will lock F2 safety card safety certification function
- Regularly verify safety function trigger logic every 6 months during equipment routine maintenance cycle
