The S70602-NANANA is an optical encoder from Kollmorgen’s S Series feedback product line. S70602 is the base model. NANANA indicates standard configuration with no special options (no bearing, no custom shaft, no special connector).

Working Principle:
Optical encoder uses a glass code disc with precise line patterns. An LED light source passes through the disc onto a photodetector array. Shaft rotation modulates the light to generate A/B quadrature pulses. The index track generates one pulse per revolution for reference position.
