Product Introduction
The S70602-NA is a high-performance, compact digital servo drive from the S700 series, designed for demanding dynamic applications. The “-NA” suffix typically denotes a base unit with no expansion cards installed but includes onboard EtherCAT and CANopen.

Working Principle
Employs a 32-bit DSP for real-time control loops (current, speed, position). It receives cyclic commands via EtherCAT/CANopen or analog signals and modulates the inverter stage using space vector PWM. Safety circuits (STO) physically disable gate drivers upon trigger, ensuring torque removal.
Installation Requirements
-
Panel mount in vertical orientation with minimum 50mm top/bottom clearance for airflow.
-
Connect 24V DC logic supply independently or shared as required.
-
Shield motor cables and connect shield to drive housing ground terminal.
-
Ensure STO inputs are wired according to safety category requirements (jumper if not used, but not recommended).
Usage Notes
-
Fan must be unobstructed; drive faults on overtemp if cooling fails.
-
S700 supports single-cable solutions (SFD3/Hiperface DSL) only with expansion cards; base unit uses separate feedback cables.
-
Firmware updates managed via DriveGUI software.
-
Ambient temp 0-40°C (derating to 55°C).
Applications
High-speed robotics, semiconductor manufacturing, electronics assembly, flying shear applications, printing, and converting.
