Working Principle

AC three-phase grid input rectified to DC bus voltage via full-bridge diode rectifier; IGBT H-bridge inverter converts DC bus to variable-frequency variable-amplitude three-phase sinusoidal output to drive servo motor. DSP main processor executes vector control algorithm, processes fieldbus motion commands, and reads motor feedback signals to form full closed-loop motion regulation; STO safety circuit cuts IGBT gate drive signals instantly when safety trigger signal activates.

Advantage Highlights

  1. Compact footprint reduces electrical cabinet volume requirement by 30% vs legacy S600 drives
  2. Universal motor compatibility supports all Kollmorgen synchronous servo motor series
  3. Certified functional safety eliminates external safety relay hardware cost
  4. MMC card parameter cloning enables fast mass machine commissioning
  5. Global certification package: UL508A, CE, TÜV safety, RoHS

Applicable Industries

Multi-axis packaging lines, semiconductor wafer handling equipment, CNC machining centers, automated assembly robots, printing converting machinery, medical diagnostic automation

Installation Requirements

  1. Mount on standard 35 mm DIN rail inside sealed IP54+ electrical cabinet
  2. Maintain minimum 100 mm vertical clearance above and below drive for cooling airflow
  3. Separate power wiring and signal wiring into isolated cable ducts, minimum 150 mm distance
  4. PE protective earth connection via dedicated cabinet grounding bar with 6mm² copper cable
  5. Auxiliary 24VDC control supply must use SELV isolated power supply unit

Operation Precautions

  1. Never operate outside 208–480VAC three-phase input voltage range
  2. Disable STO safety circuit before executing motor motion commands
  3. Do not connect uncertified third-party motor feedback encoders without parameter calibration
  4. Cabinet ambient temperature exceeding 40°C requires power derating or forced cabinet cooling fan
  5. Wait minimum 10 minutes after power-off before opening cabinet cover to discharge DC bus residual voltage
