Working Principle:
An LED illuminates a precision glass code disk with 17-bit binary track patterns. A photodetector array reads the pattern and converts it to a digital absolute position value. The BiSS-C protocol transmits this data bidirectionally over a single differential pair, also carrying diagnostic and configuration data.
