Kollmorgen S30361-NA-SB

Product Introduction:
S30361-NA-SB is the 3 A RMS variant of the S300 family, accepting 110–230 VAC single/three-phase and driving brushless synchronous servo motors, async motors, or linear motors. NA = no base-fieldbus card (plain I/O + RS-232); SB = specific connector/option configuration. S300 is the last generation before S700/AKD and still widely supported for retrofits.

Functional Features:
  • DSP three-loop control with interactive Bode tuning (DriveGUI)
  • Auto-commutation with Kollmorgen AKM/6SM/Goldline
  • Flash-stored parameters, ASCII command interface
  • Expandable I/O and fieldbus via daughter cards
  • Built-in regen management, external resistor supported
Material & Structure:
  • Press-formed steel chassis, anodized heatsink top
  • Control board + power board stacked
  • Front: 9-pin D-sub (RS-232), 15-pin D-sub (encoder), screw terminals (power/I/O)
Working Principle:
Mains rectified to DC bus; 3-phase IGBT output modulated by space-vector PWM; rotor position from selected feedback device; STO cuts gate drive when 24 VDC enable drops.
Application Scenarios:
Packaging machines, converting lines, semiconductor handlers, medical motion platforms, retrofit of SERVOSTAR CD/SR with modern tuning and safety.
Installation Requirements:
  • Vertical mount on conductive ground plate, ≥40 mm top/bottom, ≥75 mm side clearance
  • Copper conductors only, sized per IEC 60204
  • Feedback shielded twisted pair, separated from power cables
  • 24 VDC STO supply from safety relay, not from drive logic
Usage Notes:
S30361 = 110–230 V class; do not feed 400 VAC. NA means no factory bus card — add OPT-EC/OPT-PB3 if networking needed. SB defines North-America labeling and connector set; firmware upgradable but STO cert depends on firmware.
