Kollmorgen MSK050C-0600-N
Product Introduction:
The MSK050C-0600-N is part of Kollmorgen’s MSK family of high-performance, high-inertia servomotors designed for direct drive and demanding dynamic applications. Frame 050 = 80 mm flange approx.; “C” = medium-long stack; “0600” = 600V max DC bus winding; “-N” at end = standard shaft/seal/no brake or resolver/EnDat feedback (depends on full option string — when paired with N-S1-UG1-NNNN it means keyed shaft, std seal, no brake).
Detailed content
Typical Specifications (MSK050C):
-
Continuous Stall Torque (Tc): ≈ 5.4–6.3 Nm (varies by winding)
-
Peak Torque (Tp): ≈ 18–21 Nm
-
Maximum Speed: 4500–6000 rpm (winding dependent)
-
Rotor Inertia: Higher than AKM of same frame — suited for load matching
-
Winding / Bus Voltage: 600 VDC max bus (400 VAC 3Ø drive typical)
-
Feedback: Multi-turn absolute EnDat 2.1/2.2 or Hiperface DSL (depending on ordered option)
-
Brake: None unless specified
-
Protection: IP65 with shaft seal; IP67 washdown optional
-
Cooling: Natural convection (self-cooled)
-
Housing: Cast aluminum with black cataphoretic primer + powder coat
Features:
-
Optimized magnetic circuit for very low torque ripple
-
Integrated temperature sensor (KTY84 or PTC)
-
Compatible with AKD, S700 drives
-
Single-cable capable (power + feedback via hybrid connector on some variants)
Applications:
-
Electronic assembly, high-precision rotary tables, packaging, printing, robotics, direct drive rotary indexing
Installation Requirements:
-
Flange must be mounted on flat machined surface (<0.02 mm/mm)
-
Use proper tightening torque for mounting bolts (M8 typical)
-
Connect shield to PE terminal; use ferrite if EMI issues arise
-
Configure feedback type in Kollmorgen WorkBench before first run
