Working Principle:
Brushless DC torque motor operates on Lorentz force principle. Three-phase stator windings are energized in sequence by an external servo drive, creating a rotating magnetic field that interacts with permanent magnets on the rotor, producing continuous torque proportional to current.
Applicable Industries: Direct-drive rotary stages, gimbal systems, antenna positioning, optical scanning, semiconductor wafer handling, surgical robotics.
Installation Requirements:
- Press-fit into customer housing (interference fit: 0.02–0.05mm)
- Balancing: G2.5 (ISO 1940) recommended for speeds >3000 RPM
- Thermal path: Conductive mounting to external heatsink required
