Functional Features:

  • High continuous torque (2.4 Nm) in a single frame — eliminates need for gearboxes in many applications
  • Dual feedback: 2000 CPR incremental encoder + analog tachometer provides redundancy and velocity monitoring
  • Military-grade connector (MS3106A18-10S) for rugged OEM and defense applications
  • Class H insulation (180°C) supports sustained high-temperature operation
  • 8-pole, 24-slot commutation delivers very low torque ripple (< 2%)

Material Composition:

  • Stator: Silicon Steel Lamination (M-19, 0.35 mm), Class H enamel wire
  • Rotor: Silicon Steel Lamination (M-19), NdFeB Magnets (N42SH)
  • Housing: Cast Iron (GG-25), epoxy coated
  • Shaft: Alloy Steel (AISI 4140), nitrided surface
  • Commutator: Copper-Chromium Alloy (CuCr)
  • Brushes: Precious Metal (AuPd), 10 mm x 14 mm x 25 mm

Working Principle:
120 V DC powers the stator windings, creating a rotating magnetic field that drives the NdFeB rotor. The 8-pole, 24-slot commutation ensures smooth torque delivery. The incremental encoder provides digital position/velocity feedback, while the analog tachometer provides a velocity-proportional voltage (0-10 V at 0-4000 RPM) for independent velocity monitoring. The military connector routes all signals (power, encoder, tachometer) through a single rugged interface.

Advantages:

  • Highest torque in D-Series (2.4 Nm continuous) — direct-drive capability for many loads
  • Dual feedback system provides fault tolerance; if encoder fails, tachometer maintains velocity control
  • Military connector ensures reliable connection in vibration-intensive environments
  • Class H insulation allows operation in ambient temperatures up to 50°C without derating
  • Low torque ripple (< 2%) for smooth low-speed operation

Applicable Industries:

  • Military / Defense Systems
  • Radar Antenna Positioning
  • Heavy-Duty Pan/Tilt Systems
  • Shipboard Motion Control
  • Mining Equipment

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount on rigid base using 4 x M10 mounting holes; torque to 25 Nm
  • Use torque-limiting coupling rated for 10 Nm minimum
  • Connect 120 V DC bus with 6 mm² cable
  • Ground housing to PE with < 0.1 Ω resistance
  • Connect MS3106A18-10S connector with proper keying; do not force misaligned mating

Usage Notes:

  • Brush replacement interval: 4000 hours or when commutator wear exceeds 0.1 mm
  • Do not exceed 4000 RPM; this is the mechanical balance limit
  • The “-01” variant has a custom shaft length (45 mm); verify coupling compatibility before ordering
  • Tachometer output is 0-10 V proportional to 0-4000 RPM; calibrate in drive parameters
