Kollmorgen CE0356012

Product Introduction:
CE0356012 is a member of the CE/Cx03x amplifier generation sitting one tier above CE03200. It shares the CD-platform architecture but carries higher continuous current (~5–6 A RMS) and is tuned for larger NEMA 34 / small Goldline B/M motors. Some distributor listings show it under CE03560 / CE0356112 family with 3 A plate rating, but CE0356012 specifically uses the 5–6 A power stage.

Detailed content

Technical Specifications:
  • Supply: 115–230 VAC, 47–63 Hz, 1Φ/3Φ
  • Continuous current: 5.5–6 A RMS (depending on input)
  • Peak current: 18 A RMS for 1 s
  • Continuous power: ~0.7–1.0 kW
  • PWM frequency: 8–16 kHz (DSP-configurable)
  • Feedback: Incremental encoder, resolver, optional SinCos
  • Control modes: Torque, velocity, position (step/dir or analog)
  • Protection: IP20, short-circuit / over-temp / feedback-loss
  • Operating temp: 0–45 °C (derate to 55 °C)
Functional Features:
  • DSP-based auto-tuning wizard (older serial tool)
  • Digital parameter storage replacing analog pots
  • Compatible with Goldline XT and MT30xx motors
  • RS-232 service interface
Material & Structure:
  • Aluminum-extrusion heatsink with steel cover
  • Dual-board layout: power stage + control DSP board
  • Removable terminal blocks
Working Principle:
Same three-loop structure as CE03200 but with higher bus capacitance and expanded current headroom; commutation executed from encoder index or resolver zero pulse.
Application Scenarios:
Mid-size packaging axes, labeling heads, rotary indexers, medical conveyor drives where CE03200 lacked torque.
Installation Requirements:
Vertical mount, 50 mm clearance top/bottom, grounded panel, shielded encoder cable under 30 m.
Usage Notes:
Firmware locked to CE/Cx03x family; cannot flash AKD or S300 firmware. Mixing CE03200 and CE0356012 in same machine is fine only if each axis is independently tuned.
