Installation Requirements:

  • Mount in ventilated area — minimum 50 mm clearance on all sides
  • Connect to drive brake chopper terminals (B+, B-)
  • Use 4 mm² minimum copper wire for connections
  • Do not block airflow around resistor body

Usage Notes:

  • Resistor will become extremely hot during braking — do not touch during operation
  • Verify resistance value matches drive configuration (31 Ω for 120–240 VAC input drives)
  • If thermal cutoff trips repeatedly, increase deceleration time or add external forced-air cooling
  • Do not use with drives rated above 560 VDC bus voltage
