Kollmorgen AKM65K-ANCNR-00

Product Introduction:
The AKM65 is one of the largest standard AKM frames (135 mm square flange), intended for high-power machine tool, converting, and heavy automation applications. “K” stack is a long laminate giving high continuous torque. “ANCNR-00” = Standard configuration, N=Std seal (IP65), C=Resolver feedback, N=No brake, R=Right-angle or standard connector orientation, 00=default shaft (smooth / plain).

Detailed content

Typical Performance Parameters (AKM65K, 560–640 VDC bus):
  • Rated Power: ~4.23–4.54 kW (at 560–640 VDC bus)
  • Continuous Stall Torque (Tc): ~24.8 Nm
  • Nominal Rated Torque: ~18.4 Nm @ rated speed
  • Peak Torque (Tp): ~64.5 Nm
  • Rated Speed: ~2598 rpm (at max bus); 2000 rpm @ 560 VDC bus
  • Torque Constant (Kt): ~2.53 Nm/Arms (approx.)
  • Back EMF Constant (Ke): ~170 Vrms/krpm (approx.)
  • Continuous Current: ~9.8 Arms (at ΔT=100 °C, stall)
  • Rotor Inertia: ~40 kg·cm² (0.004 kg·m²)
  • Shaft: 24 mm diameter, smooth/plain (no keyway per “R” option)
  • Feedback: 2-pole resolver (16-bit interpolation capable in AKD)
  • Connector: 2 × M23 angled rotatable Speed Tec connectors (power + resolver)
  • Degree of Protection: IP65 (with cable glands)
  • Insulation Class: F (155 °C), with PTC thermistor
  • Flange: 138 × 138 mm IEC square flange, pilot Ø110 mm
  • Weight: ~12–14 kg (frame dependent)
Material & Construction:
  • Stator: Heavy-section copper winding, Class F insulation system
  • Rotor: High-energy NdFeB magnets, retaining ring secured
  • Housing: Cast / extruded aluminum with machined flange
  • Shaft: Alloy steel, dynamically balanced to G2.5 or better
  • Bearings: Deep-groove ball bearings, greased-for-life
Installation & Notes:
  • Requires secure mounting with ≥4 M10 bolts torqued to spec
  • Resolver must be phased correctly during first auto-commissioning in AKD (WorkBench will detect polarity)
  • Large inertia — check regeneration requirements under frequent deceleration
  • Use appropriately sized power cabling; observe bending radius for M23 connectors
