Kollmorgen AKM21C-ANM2DB00

Product Name: AKM2x Series Servo Motor with Multiturn EnDat and Brake
Product Brief: AKM21 frame motor with 27-bit EnDat 2.1 absolute multiturn encoder, 20 mm smooth shaft, integrated holding brake and MLX connectors.

Detailed content

Technical Specifications:
  • Frame: AKM21 (58 mm flange)
  • Rated Power: 0.32 kW at 320 VDC
  • Stall Torque: 0.48 Nm
  • Nominal Torque: 0.39 Nm
  • Continuous Current: 1.58 Arms
  • Max Speed: 8000 rpm
  • Max Bus: 320 VDC
  • Winding: C
  • Feedback: EnDat 2.1 absolute multiturn, 27-bit optical
  • Brake: 24 VDC holding brake
  • Shaft: 20 mm smooth
  • Connectors: MLX motor/feedback pigtails
  • Protection: IP20 (open machine type)
Functional Features: Absolute multiturn eliminates homing after power loss, brake holds load during STO, low cogging.
Application Scenarios: Vertical lift axes, medical scanner gimbals, semiconductor pre-aligners.
Installation Requirements: Brake must be externally supplied via drive brake output, IP20 requires enclosed cabinet, avoid shaft radial load.
Usage Notes: EnDat clock must be driven by drive, never disconnect brake under load, encoder replacement needs factory calibration.
Cross-Family Notes
  • AKM motors couple natively to AKD-P / AKD-N drives with automatic parameter download.
  • Goldline B / M / BE2 legacy motors require resolver or incremental encoder commutation setup and are not plug-and-play on AKD without manual motor data entry.
  • All 230 VAC class motors (B-204, M-405, BE2-406) expect 170–340 VDC bus when driven by modern AKD 120/240 V drives; 400 V AKM65N expects 340–680 VDC bus from AKD 240/480 V drives.
  • Feedback cables must always be routed separately from PWM power cables regardless of motor family.
  • Obsolete parts (B-204-A-21, M-405-B-B1, BE2-406-G-A2) are supported only as spares, not for new designs.
