-
Shaft: 20 mm smooth
-
Connectors: MLX motor/feedback pigtails
-
Protection: IP20 (open machine type)Functional Features: Absolute multiturn eliminates homing after power loss, brake holds load during STO, low cogging.Application Scenarios: Vertical lift axes, medical scanner gimbals, semiconductor pre-aligners.Installation Requirements: Brake must be externally supplied via drive brake output, IP20 requires enclosed cabinet, avoid shaft radial load.Usage Notes: EnDat clock must be driven by drive, never disconnect brake under load, encoder replacement needs factory calibration.
Cross-Family Notes
-
AKM motors couple natively to AKD-P / AKD-N drives with automatic parameter download.
-
Goldline B / M / BE2 legacy motors require resolver or incremental encoder commutation setup and are not plug-and-play on AKD without manual motor data entry.
-
All 230 VAC class motors (B-204, M-405, BE2-406) expect 170–340 VDC bus when driven by modern AKD 120/240 V drives; 400 V AKM65N expects 340–680 VDC bus from AKD 240/480 V drives.
-
Feedback cables must always be routed separately from PWM power cables regardless of motor family.
-
Obsolete parts (B-204-A-21, M-405-B-B1, BE2-406-G-A2) are supported only as spares, not for new designs.
