AKD601-AS-FAN belongs to the Kollmorgen AKD family of next-generation digital servo drives. It is a panel-mount, 240/480 VAC three-phase drive with 3 Arms continuous output and an integrated fan cooling module denoted by the “FAN” suffix. It is designed for plug-and-play commissioning with AKM and other Kollmorgen servo motors.

Working Principle:
AC rectified to DC bus, DSP+FPGA close torque/velocity/position loops, IGBT PWM synthesizes 3-phase current based on rotor angle from feedback.
Structure & Materials:
Extruded aluminum heatsink, die-cast rear plate, SMD control board, isolated 24 V logic, integrated 24 VDC fan module.
Installation Requirements:
Vertical mount in IP20+ cabinet, ≥50 mm top/bottom clearance for fan airflow, shielded motor/feedback cables with 360° gland grounding, 24 VDC control supply isolated from power ground.
Usage Notes:
Do not block fan intake; derate 2.5 %/°C above 40 °C; reform DC-link capacitors if stored >12 months.
