Kollmorgen AKD-P01206-NCC

Product Brief: Single-axis Ethernet-based servo drive identical in architecture to AKD-B units but with “-P” denoting 240 VAC 3Φ-capable (also 120/240 VAC 1Φ/3Φ 85–265 VAC) with different internal power stage rating. “01206” = 12 Arms continuous / 30 A peak. “N” = No built-in second option card fitted (fieldbus slot occupied by EtherCAT — “C” in suffix). First “C” = EtherCAT (CoE — CANopen over EtherCAT, CiA 402 profile). Second “C” = Standard I/O. No “S” = No onboard STO (basic safety).

Detailed content

Input Supply Voltage:85 – 265 VAC 1Φ or 3Φ (nominal 120/240 VAC), 50/60 Hz
DC Bus Voltage (Nominal):~160–325 VDC
Continuous Output Current (RMS):12 A
Peak Output Current (RMS, 5 s):30 A
Drive Continuous Output Power (Typical):4000 W
Control Logic Supply:+24 V DC (18–30 VDC), isolated
Current / Velocity / Position Loop Performance: Same as AKD family — Torque loop 0.67 µs, Velocity 62.5 µs, Position 125 µs
Supported Feedback Types: Resolver, SFD/SFD3, EnDat 2.1/2.2, BiSS-C, HIPERFACE DSL, SinCos, Incremental TTL, Tamagawa
Fieldbus Interface:EtherCAT (100 Mbit/s, CoE CiA402 DS402) — RJ45 or M12 (depending on accessory)
Digital I/O: 7× DI (24 V opto-isolated), 3× DO (24 V 100 mA open-collector), 1× relay output
Analog I/O: ±10 V differential input, ±10 V analog monitor output
Regenerative Chopper: Integrated (external resistor required for high-inertia deceleration)
Dimensions (H × W × D):196 mm × 78 mm × 187 mm
Weight:≈ 2.0 kg
Protection Class:IP20
Operating Temperature:0 °C to +40 °C full rated; derating to +55 °C
Certifications: CE, UL, cULus, TÜV (SIL 2 achievable with external STO or STO-equipped variant)
Applicable Industries: Multi-axis EtherCAT motion systems — packaging lines, pick-and-place robots, electronic assembly, laser cutting XY tables, lab automation
Installation Requirements: Same as AKD-B series — vertical DIN-rail or panel mount in ventilated enclosure; connect PE; fit line filter; terminate motor U/V/W with correct torque; assign EtherCAT node address via config software or DIP switches.
Usage Notes: NCC = EtherCAT + no STO + std I/O — ensure machine safety is addressed externally if category 3/4 stop required; EtherCAT cycle time typically 250 µs–1 ms; use Kollmorgen WorkBench or 3rd-party master (Beckhoff/TwinCAT, Omron NJ, etc.) for commissioning; verify ESI XML file version matches firmware.
