Product Introduction:
The AKD series provides high-bandwidth digital servo control with plug-and-play auto-tuning when paired with AKM motors. The “-P” denotes position indexer (onboard motion tasks), “NB” = built-in regenerative braking resistor, “PUS” = EtherCAT + CANopen fieldbus + US power variant (120–240 VAC).

Installation & Notes:
  • Install vertically in grounded enclosure with minimum 50 mm top/bottom clearance.
  • Connect shield of motor and feedback cables directly to drive PE terminal or designated shield clamp.
  • Configure via Kollmorgen WorkBench software (USB/Ethernet).
  • Built-in regen resistor eliminates need for external shunt up to a defined deceleration energy limit.
