Kollmorgen AKD-P01206-NBC12

Product Introduction: 240 V variant of the AKD® platform. NBC12 decodes as 120/240 VAC (00306 power stage scaled to 01206 = 12 A), N = no internal regen resistor, B = CANopen, C = base option set, 12 = Kollmorgen configuration/variant code (extended I/O or firmware sub-revision). Supplies up to 4 kW continuous to AKM5/AKM4 motors.

Detailed content

  • Technical Specifications:
    • Supply voltage: 120–240 VAC 1φ or 3φ (85–265 VAC), DC bus 170–340 VDC
    • Control logic: 24 VDC
    • Continuous output current: 12 Arms
    • Peak output current: 30 Arms for 5 s
    • Continuous output power: 4000 W
    • Current loop bandwidth: 2–3 kHz
    • Velocity loop bandwidth: 0–600 Hz
    • Position loop bandwidth: 1–250 Hz
    • Internal regen resistor: None (external mandatory for regen)
    • Fieldbus: CANopen
    • Feedback: Full AKD suite (SFD, EnDat, BiSS, resolver, sin/cos, Hiperface)
    • I/O: Same AKD standard set; extended I/O per “12” config
    • Protection: IP20
    • Dimensions: 248 mm H × 96 mm W × 228 mm D (without connectors)
    • Weight: 3.7 kg
  • Functional Features: CANopen DSP-402 profile, PLCopen motion, onboard indexer, same autotune/workbench ecosystem as all AKD units.
  • Application Scenarios: CANopen machine networks, cartoners, fillers, converting lines, rotary tables using Kollmorgen AKM51E or AKM42G at 240 V.
  • Material & Structure: Identical AKD mechanical platform; taller 240 V 12 A heatsink; CANopen connector on front option bay.
  • Working Principle: Same FOC inversion as other AKD; CANopen master sends target via PDO/SDO.
  • Mounting Requirements: Panel mount vertical, enclosed; because no internal resistor, an external Kollmorgen regen resistor must be fitted when decelerating inertial loads downward.
  • Usage Notes: Do not run 480 V supply into this unit. Brake circuit (if motor has 24 V brake) must be externally wired. CAN bus termination 120 Ω at both ends.
