Kollmorgen AKD-P01206-NAA12

Product Introduction:
Kollmorgen AKD-P01206-NAA12 is a member of the Kollmorgen AKD Ethernet-ready servo platform. The “P” denotes a positioning-capable drive; “NAA12” configures analog velocity/torque command (no fieldbus card), 120/240 VAC supply class, standard I/O and firmware revision. It pairs with Kollmorgen AKM, 2G, frameless or third-party servo motors using supported feedback.

Material & Structure:
Aluminum heat-sink chassis, sheet-steel rear bracket, molded polycarbonate connector housings, screw-terminal I/O, optically isolated digital I/O.
Working Principle:
Kollmorgen AKD rectifies AC mains to DC bus, then IGBT PWM inverts 3-phase current to motor windings. Rotor position from encoder/resolver closes commutate loop. Digital current loop runs 2.5–4 kHz; velocity and position loops cascade above it. Analog ±10 V sets velocity/torque setpoint; internal indexer handles position mode.
Functional Features:
Kollmorgen WorkBench GUI, wizard autotuning, full-frequency Bode plot, SFD/EnDat2.2/BiSS/Hiperface/resolver/sine-cos support, SIL-rated STO monitoring, TCP/IP service channel.
Application Scenarios:
Packaging machinery, printing presses, semiconductor handling, medical automation, CNC axis.
Mounting Requirements:
Panel mount, vertical orientation; 50 mm clearance top/bottom for convection; separate mains, motor shield, feedback and 24 VDC routing; 24 VDC must be present before AC.
Usage Notes:
Backup parameters via WorkBench before firmware update; do not mix P-indexer firmware with T-indexer motion profiles without re-licensing; motor autotune mandatory after mechanical change.
