Working Principle

Three-phase high-voltage AC input rectified to high DC bus rail; dual DSP digital control unit processes EtherCAT/CANopen motion commands and motor position feedback signals to generate PWM gate signals for IGBT inverter stage. Inverter outputs variable-frequency three-phase sine wave to drive permanent magnet servo motor, closed-loop vector control maintains precise torque/velocity/position regulation across full operating speed range.

Advantage Highlights

  1. Fanless design eliminates fan failure maintenance points and cabinet dust ingress risks
  2. 40% higher power density compared to equivalent S700 series 3A servo drives
  3. Dual EtherCAT/CANopen bus supports mixed control network architecture
  4. Plug-and-play auto-recognition for all Kollmorgen factory standard servo motors
  5. Small cabinet footprint reduces overall machine electrical enclosure size

Applicable Industries

Electronics pick-and-place equipment, laser processing machinery, small CNC routers, lab automation positioning stages, pharmaceutical filling equipment, small robotic gantry axes

Installation Requirements

  1. Mount to standard 35 mm DIN rail inside IP54+ sealed electrical cabinet
  2. Vertical mounting only; horizontal installation prohibited for heat sink airflow efficiency
  3. Minimum 75 mm vertical clearance above and below drive unit
  4. Separate high-voltage power cables and low-voltage signal cables into isolated routing trays
  5. Connect dedicated PE earth wire (4mm² copper) to chassis ground terminal

Operation Precautions

  1. Do not operate with input voltage below 187VAC or above 528VAC three-phase supply
  2. Avoid installation in high-dust, oily, or corrosive vapor cabinet environments
  3. Prevent direct sunlight exposure to drive aluminum heat sink surface
  4. Disconnect 480VAC main power supply before modifying feedback or motor wiring
  5. Allow 5-minute discharge period post power-off before accessing internal drive components
