Construction & Materials:

  • Enclosure: Aluminum die-cast, IP20
  • Connectors: M12 for power/feedback, screw terminals for I/O
  • Power Stage: IGBT with active rectification
  • Cooling: Forced air (internal fan, 24 VDC)

Functional Features:

  • Safe Torque Off (STO) — SIL3 certified per IEC 61800-5-2
  • Electronic camming with up to 256 cam profiles
  • Following error window with configurable limits
  • Brake control output (24 VDC, 2 A)
  • Analog I/O: 2 inputs, 1 output (±10 V)

Working Principle:
Same cascaded control architecture as AKD-M series. Receives motion commands via fieldbus, executes current/velocity/position loops at 16 kHz, and drives the motor with space-vector PWM.

Advantages:

  • Full safety integration — eliminates need for external safety relays in many applications
  • B-Series compatibility — drop-in replacement for legacy Kollmorgen B-Series drives
  • Analog I/O option simplifies integration with non-EtherCAT controllers
  • Compact, panel-mountable design

Applicable Industries:
Metal forming, plastic molding, woodworking, food & beverage, textile, print, material handling

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount with minimum 50 mm clearance on all sides
  • Use 2.5 mm² minimum wire for power connections
  • Ground PE terminal to chassis
  • Provide 24 VDC auxiliary (internal fan requires 24 VDC)

Usage Notes:

  • Always configure STO circuit before energizing the system
  • Perform Autotune after any mechanical change
  • Do not block airflow vents — overheating will trigger thermal shutdown at 100°C
