Technical Specifications: 5 V / 24 V logic levels, differential receiver for A/B/Z or sin/cos, D-sub or pin-header mount.

Installation Requirements: Seated on host drive’s option slot; jumper set for 5 V vs 24 V encoder supply.

Mechanical Sharing: AKM54G-00 and -01 share torque/speed curves; only connector exit differs. AKM42J is half-flange of AKM54G.

Safety: All drives support STO only on AKD; BDS4A relies on external contactor; legacy CD has no SIL STO.

Thermal: AKM windings rated Class F, 100 °C rise at 40 °C ambient—never exceed 40 °C ambient without derating torque.

Feedback Rule: Resolver (R in AKM code) is default for harsh duty; encoder (E/N variants) for high-resolution registration; SFD for battery-less multiturn on AKD.
