  • Technical Specifications:​ 5 V / 24 V logic levels, differential receiver for A/B/Z or sin/cos, D-sub or pin-header mount.
  • Functional Features:​ Converts resolver to simulated encoder, or adds incremental output.
  • Application Scenarios:​ Retrofit of resolver motor into encoder-only controller.
  • Installation Requirements:​ Seated on host drive’s option slot; jumper set for 5 V vs 24 V encoder supply.
  • Usage Notes:​ Static-sensitive; handle with ESD grounding; not programmable by end user.

  • AKD + AKM​ is the current matched ecosystem: AKD-P01206-NB drives AKM54G or AKM42J directly with auto-commissioning.
  • BDS4A + Goldline/AKM-old​ is legacy analog/digital; BDS4A-255/230 cannot talk EtherCAT natively.
  • SERVOSTAR CD / LE / CR / C01007 / ABME​ are obsolescent support items; spares and repair only.
  • Mechanical Sharing:​ AKM54G-00 and -01 share torque/speed curves; only connector exit differs. AKM42J is half-flange of AKM54G.
  • Safety:​ All drives support STO only on AKD; BDS4A relies on external contactor; legacy CD has no SIL STO.
  • Thermal:​ AKM windings rated Class F, 100 °C rise at 40 °C ambient—never exceed 40 °C ambient without derating torque.
  • Feedback Rule:​ Resolver (R in AKM code) is default for harsh duty; encoder (E/N variants) for high-resolution registration; SFD for battery-less multiturn on AKD.
