Kollmorgen 64WKS-M240/70-RLG

Product Introduction: Legacy (now obsolete/discontinued) Seidel-series brushless DC/AC servo amplifier in double Eurocard format. Designed for 3-phase supply 60–172 VAC, output stage PWM transistor inverter, controlled by motor’s electronic rotor position sensor (resolver or Hall — “RLG” variant). Can be paralleled (up to 3 units, one master).

Detailed content

  • Technical Specifications:
    • Supply Voltage: 3 × 60 … 172 VAC (rated ~3×115 VAC or 3×208 VAC derived); DC link rated ~240 VDC
    • Rated Output Current: 70 A continuous
    • Peak Output Current: 140 A (within 0.5 ms)
    • Rated Output Power (ballast circuit): 5.4 kW pulse, 135 W continuous ballast dissipation
    • Power Loss at Rated Load: ~400 W
    • Operating Temp: 0 … +45 °C (derating 2.5 %/°C above 45 °C up to 55 °C)
    • Storage Temp: –25 … +85 °C
    • Protection: Overvoltage, fuse protection, short-circuit protection, thermal monitoring
  • Structure & Construction: Double Eurocard PCB format; optionally housed in metal enclosure (weight ~5.1 kg with case; board alone ~2.5 kg); IP00 (open board); vertical mounting in 19″ rack (up to 4 + power supply in 6U)
  • Working Principle: Four-quadrant PWM output stage; PI speed/torque controller; commutation via resolver/Hall sensors fed to RLG logic; enables torque, speed, or position control when paired with external motion controller
  • Installation & Precautions: Requires separate 56WK-P series power supply or equivalent 240 VDC bus; ensure proper shielding of feedback/motor cables; only trained personnel should install; observe creepage/clearance; do NOT touch live terminals — high voltage/current present even after power-off due to DC bus capacitors (discharge before handling).
