Kollmorgen 63032-01B LS2000

Product Introduction
The LS2000 series is a robust, earlier-generation analog/digital hybrid servo drive platform. The 63032-01B module is designed for medium-power motion control, offering stable performance in harsh industrial environments. It is commonly found in older automation systems still in active production.

  • Operating Temp: 0°C to 55°C
Functional Features
  • Resolver Compatibility: Integrated resolver-to-digital conversion for rugged position feedback.
  • Adjustable Gains: Front-panel potentiometers for quick tuning of proportional, integral, and derivative gains without software.
  • Protection: Over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-temperature, and motor short-circuit protection.
  • Status Indicators: LED indicators on front panel for power, fault, and status diagnosis.
  • DIN Rail Mount: Modular design fits standard DIN rail for easy cabinet integration.
Material & Structure
  • Enclosure: Industrial-grade plastic/metal hybrid housing.
  • Connections: Screw-terminal blocks for power, motor, feedback, and I/O.
  • Cooling: Passive heat sink with optimized airflow design.
Working Principle
The drive receives a command signal (analog voltage or pulse train) and compares it with feedback from the motor. An internal PID control loop adjusts the output PWM waveform to the motor windings to minimize the error between commanded and actual position/speed/torque.
Installation Requirements
  • Install on standard 35mm DIN rail inside a control cabinet.
  • Separate low-voltage signal wires from high-voltage power wires to prevent noise interference.
  • Ensure 230VAC single-phase supply is properly fused.
  • Connect motor power leads (U/V/W) correctly; swapping phases results in reversed rotation.
Usage Notes
  • This is a legacy product; replacement parts may be refurbished.
  • Potentiometer adjustments are sensitive; mark original positions before tuning.
  • Ensure resolver wiring is shielded and grounded to prevent feedback noise.
  • Not suitable for new designs; consider S700 or AKD as modern replacements.
Applications
Legacy CNC machines, textile winding/unwinding, older packaging machinery, coilers, laboratory test stands.
