Functional Features:

  • IP69K rated — withstands high-pressure (80 bar), high-temperature (80°C) water jets from any direction
  • 316L stainless steel construction — corrosion-resistant, suitable for chemical cleaning agents
  • Smooth, crevice-free housing — no areas for bacterial growth (EHEDG compliant)
  • Sealed encoder — optical encoder with IP69K-rated seal
  • Special shaft seal — double lip seal with food-grade lubricant
  • Optional food-grade grease — NSF H1 certified lubricant available

Material Composition:

  • Housing: 316L stainless steel (electropolished finish, Ra < 0.8 µm)
  • Stator Laminations: Silicon steel with epoxy coating (corrosion-resistant)
  • Rotor Magnets: NdFeB, hermetically sealed with stainless steel sleeve
  • Shaft: 316L stainless steel, ground to Ra < 0.4 µm
  • Bearings: Stainless steel bearings (AISI 440C), sealed, food-grade grease
  • Cable Gland: 316L stainless steel, IP69K-rated
  • Fasteners: 316L stainless steel hex socket cap screws

Structural Features:

  • Cylindrical body with smooth external surface (no sharp edges)
  • NEMA 23 flange mounting (4-bolt, 57 mm BCD)
  • 19 mm diameter shaft with keyway (or smooth shaft option)
  • M23 connector (stainless steel) for encoder and power
  • Optional: IP69K-rated connector with cable gland

Operating Principle:
Standard sinusoidal brushless commutation. The servo drive supplies three-phase AC to the stator windings. The permanent magnet rotor follows the rotating magnetic field. The incremental encoder provides position feedback. The sealed construction ensures no contamination ingress during washdown cycles.

Advantages:

  • Full IP69K protection — the highest washdown rating available
  • EHEDG certified — meets European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group standards
  • 3-A Sanitary — accepted by 3-A Sanitary Standards (dairy, food, beverage, pharma)
  • Corrosion-free — 316L stainless steel resists all common cleaning chemicals
  • Zero bacterial harborage — smooth surfaces, no crevices

Applicable Industries:

  • Food & beverage processing
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Dairy processing
  • Meat processing
  • Cleanroom automation
  • Biotech laboratories
  • Bottling and canning lines

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount on NEMA 23 flange with 316L stainless steel bolts
  • Use food-grade coupling (bellows type recommended)
  • Cable entry: use IP69K-rated cable gland, torque to 8 Nm
  • Ensure no trapped water in cable routing — slope cables downward away from motor
  • Ground the motor housing to the machine frame (ground resistance < 1 Ω)

Usage Notes:

  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents — they damage the electropolished surface
  • Maximum washdown pressure: 80 bar, temperature: 80°C, distance: 100–150 mm
  • Re-grease bearings every 10,000 hours (or per OEM schedule) using NSF H1 grease only
  • Do not operate with encoder cable disconnected — will trigger drive fault
  • Verify shaft seal integrity annually in high-washdown applications
