Honeywell CC-PWRB01
Product Introduction
CC-PWRB01 converts AC mains power into regulated 24 VDC for C300 controllers, Series C I/O modules, and field termination assemblies. It is designed for continuous-process control rooms and harsh industrial cabinets where power redundancy and short-term battery backup are required.
Detailed content
Technical Specifications
Input voltage is 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Output is 24 VDC nominal with 20 A per supply in redundant configuration. AC-input regulated output is 25 to 26 VDC at 20 A. Battery-backed output is 24 to 25 VDC at 20 A. Integrated rechargeable battery provides up to 30 minutes of backup during AC failure. Differential power connectors include six 24 VDC distribution outputs, one controller-memory backup connector, and one alarm contact connector.
Function Features
Dual redundant 24 VDC supplies with automatic failover, integrated battery charger, front-panel power and fault LEDs, transient filtering, G3 conformal coating on selected -175 versions, and alarm contact reporting.
Application Scenarios
Experion PKS C300 process control, power generation, oil and gas separation and compression, chemical processing, pharmaceutical batch control, and other DCS installations requiring high power-availability.
Performance Parameters
Total redundant output capacity is 20 A per supply. Backup duration is up to 30 minutes under specified load. Thermal load is approximately 145 W per supply under full output. LED status provides immediate output-OK and fault indication.
Material Composition
Metal industrial enclosure with eight-connector interface plate. Internal battery assembly, switched-mode power conversion components, and conformally coated circuit boards on G3 versions.
Structure Features
Compact vertical power module for Series C power carrier. Eight connector positions, battery compartment, and front status indicators. Designed for cabinet power distribution with minimal wiring crossings.
Working Principle
AC input is rectified and regulated to 24 VDC. Two supply sections share load and automatically transfer if one section fails. The battery charger maintains backup cells. During AC loss, the battery stage continues 24 VDC output until external power returns or maintenance action is taken.
Installation Requirements
Install in the designated Series C power slot or carrier. Connect independent AC sources or UPS feeds to each redundant supply where highest availability is required. Provide cabinet ventilation according to 145 W heat dissipation. Ground the chassis and battery alarm circuits per Honeywell installation manuals.
Usage Notes
Verify input voltage before connection. Do not exceed 20 A per supply. Inspect battery health on the maintenance schedule. Replace only with Honeywell-specified battery and conformal-coating version for corrosive environments.
