Working Principle:​ Digital command values from the C300 controller are converted by precision per-channel DACs into 4–20 mA current. HART Rev. 7 digital communication is superimposed on the analog loop for bidirectional data exchange with smart field instruments. On electronics failure, the module automatically drives 0 mA (safe state) unless configured otherwise.
