Structural Features: Cylindrical actuator body, quarter-turn output shaft, DIN-rail or direct damper bracket mounting, 3-wire control cable for common, signal and feedback, integrated end-switch compartment.
Working Principle: The control signal drives a reversible motor through a gear train to rotate the output shaft. Limit switches disconnect motor power at fully open or fully closed positions. Position feedback potentiometer or transducer produces a proportional signal. In manual mode, the handwheel mechanically moves the shaft and automatic mode resumes when selected.
Installation Requirements: Mount the actuator perpendicular to the damper shaft with a secure coupling. Use 18 AWG shielded cable for control and feedback signals. Select 0 VDC to 10 VDC or 2 VDC to 10 VDC via the internal selector before energizing. Provide weather protection if installed in exposed outdoor air units, while respecting IP54 limits.
Usage Notes: Do not supply above 24 VAC or 24 VDC. Verify end-switch wiring against the BMS input type. Check shaft coupling tightness after commissioning. Lubricate gear components annually in dusty or outdoor environments.
