Honeywell 2MLL-EFMTB-CC

Product Name
2MLL-EFMTB-CC MasterLogic-200 Fast Ethernet communication module
Product Introduction
This Honeywell module provides 10/100 Mbps electrical Fast Ethernet communication for MasterLogic-200 PLC systems. The CC suffix denotes conformal coating for humid, dusty or corrosive environments. It connects controllers, HMIs, SCADA servers and Modbus/TCP devices over industrial RJ45 Ethernet.

Detailed content

Functional Features
Auto-negotiation simplifies 10/100 integration. Conformal coating resists moisture, salt fog and chemical vapors. Modbus TCP and Honeywell proprietary protocol support allow mixed-vendor networking. LED diagnostics reduce troubleshooting time.
Material Composition
Enclosure and bracket use industrial-grade plastics and plated steel. PCB is coated with insulating conformal lacquer. RJ45 receptacle uses gold-plated contacts and shielded housing where system shielding is required.
Structural Characteristics
The module contains an Ethernet PHY/MAC controller, magnetics, RJ45 port, status LEDs and backplane interface. The conformal layer covers PCB traces while keeping connectors accessible.
Working Principle
The PLC CPU passes transmit data to the Ethernet controller. The PHY encodes packets, drives the RJ45 differential pairs and receives inbound frames. The module filters addresses, handles protocol stacks and transfers cyclic/acyclic data between the control program and network nodes.
Installation Requirements
Install only with system power removed. Seat the module in the designated MasterLogic-200 slot or DIN enclosure. Use grounded control cabinet and shielded Ethernet cable for noisy areas. Connect 24 VDC from the qualified control power supply. Verify backplane engagement and locking.
Usage Notes
Configure unique IP address, subnet mask and gateway before commissioning. Do not exceed 100 m for copper RJ45 runs without repeaters or fiber converters. Observe ESD handling. Inspect conformal coating only during scheduled maintenance; do not remove coating.
