Working Principle:​ During an overload, the bimetallic strip heats and bends inversely with time (adjustable trip versions allow 0.7–1.0 × In adjustment), tripping the mechanism. During a short circuit, the electromagnetic coil generates a high instantaneous force (8–12 × In) that rapidly releases the latch, opening all poles simultaneously via the internal common trip mechanism.
