Key Features:
  • MicroVersaTrip® Plus electronic trip unit with adjustable long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and trip-target functions
  • 50 kA interrupting capacity at 480 V AC
  • 1200 A frame with field-adjustable rating plug for flexible ampere rating establishment
  • Suitable for reverse feed applications
  • Digital, solid-state, RMS-sensing trip system
Materials & Construction: Molded-case housing; MicroVersaTrip® Plus electronic trip unit; front-mounted rating plug; TCAL-series terminal lugs for Cu/Al conductors.
Structural Features: 3-pole construction; draw-out capable design; front-mounted rating plug for on-site ampere rating changes; suitable for reverse feed.
Working Principle: The MicroVersaTrip® Plus electronic trip unit digitally samples the phase currents, computes the true RMS value, and applies the LSIT protection algorithm. When current exceeds the long-time, short-time, or instantaneous thresholds (as defined by the rating plug and trip-unit settings), the trip actuator opens the contacts, interrupting the fault.
Application Scenarios: Main incoming breakers for large 600 V AC distribution systems; feeder protection in industrial plants, commercial buildings, and utilities; applications requiring 1200 A frame size with 50 kA interrupting capacity at 480 V.
Installation & Usage Notes:
  • ⚠️ WARNING: Danger of electrical shock or injury. Turn OFF the power ahead of equipment before installing this device or removing any other device.
  • Unpack and inspect for shipping damage. Verify that the ampere range, sensor rating, voltage rating, and interrupting rating match the application.
  • Since SK-frame breakers are available in a wide variety of configurations, compare the catalog number of the purchased breaker with the catalog numbering key (Table 1 in GE’s SK-frame installation instructions). Installation of an incorrect breaker could result in misapplication, lack of system coordination, or reduction in system functionality.
  • Install the appropriate field-installable rating plug to establish the desired ampere rating.
  • Use TCAL-series terminal lugs rated for the conductor size (Cu/Al).
  • Ensure proper torque per GE’s installation instructions.
  • This product is NOT suitable for use in equipment not specifically designed to accept it; contact the equipment manufacturer for possible modifications.
