Detailed content

Technical Specifications:
  • CPU: Freescale PowerQUICC II Pro MPC8349, 667 MHz
  • Memory: 256 MB DDR SDRAM, 512 MB NAND Flash
  • OS: QNX Neutrino RTOS
  • Ports: 3× IONet, 2× UDH Ethernet, 1× service, USB, RS-232
  • Power: 18–36 V DC (nominal 28 V DC), ~12 W
  • Temp: -30 °C to +65 °C
  • Mount: Panel/base mount, not VME slot
Functional Features: TMR triple-controller voting; fanless aluminum heatsink; CF-card application store; runs ControlST/ToolboxST logic; IEEE-1588sync on IONet.
Materials & Structure: Cast aluminum housing, gasketed front bezel, DIN-rail or panel bracket.
Working Principle: Reads I/O over deterministic IONet, executes control task every scan, votes with peer UCSAs, drives outputs and HMI via UDH.
Installation Requirements: Panel-mount with vibration isolators; separate IONet from UDH cabling; surge-protect 24 V supply.
Precautions: Do not mix UCSA H1A with UCSB in same TMR set; CF card is keyed—wrong image causes no-boot; ESD wrist strap mandatory.
