Functional Characteristics

 

  • Noise – Immune Network: The Genius communications bus uses a noise – immune network, which can provide fast data transmission of real – time control data.
  • LED Indicators: There are LED indicators on the front of the module. The “OK” indicator shows the status of the GBC module, and the “COM” indicator displays the status of the Genius communications bus.
  • Flexible Installation: Can be installed on a Series 90 – 30 CPU baseplate, an expansion baseplate, or a remote baseplate, and for best performance, it is recommended to be installed on the CPU baseplate.
  • Multi – device Connection: Up to 32 devices can be linked on a Genius bus, and up to eight Series 90 – 30 PLC CPUs can communicate with each other over a single Genius I/O serial bus.
