The rack chassis, internal wiring and fusing are identical regardless of input voltage; only the NPSM power module changes between 24 V DC and 125 V DC configurations.
Usage Notes: For Mark IV NPSR power supply boards, the electrolytic capacitors dry out after 20+ years; proactive replacement during scheduled outages is strongly recommended. Never apply AC input and DC input simultaneously — the isolation diodes will fail. If the board is still original to a Mark IV system, plan for preemptive replacement. If a cooling fan fails, its tachometer feedback triggers an alarm to the CPU. The DS3800NPSR is a drop-in replacement for DS3800NPSR-1 (software compatible); it is hardware-incompatible with IS200EPDG and third-party OEM racks.
