GE DS200NATOG3A
Product Name: Voltage Feedback Scaling Board
Product Overview: The GE DS200NATOG3A is a high-performance voltage feedback scaling board developed by GE for the Mark V series control system. As a core optional component of the LCI ATTE series and various GE brand exciters and drives, its core responsibility is to perform precise integrated AC and DC voltage attenuation of high-voltage signals from the SCR bridge, thereby providing accurate and reliable voltage feedback data to the control system.

Functional Features:
-
Through its unique five-channel design, can simultaneously process three-phase AC and DC positive/negative bus voltages
-
All signals transmitted efficiently through a 20-pin ribbon connector
-
Integrates MOV protection circuit ensuring output voltage peaks never exceed rated values even under voltage input conditions
-
Provides a solid safety barrier for backend sensitive VME backplanes and gate distribution status boards
-
Configurable resistor networks and integrated surge suppression support multiple medium-voltage applications
Working Principle: The board performs precise integrated AC and DC voltage attenuation of high-voltage signals from the SCR bridge using configurable resistor networks. The integrated MOV surge protection ensures that even if the output ribbon circuit is interrupted while input voltage is still present, the MOV acts to clamp and limit the voltage, preventing it from rising to levels that could potentially damage the system or other connected components.
Application Scenarios: GE brand exciters, drives, and gas turbine control systems.
Installation & Configuration Guide:
Stage 1 – Pre-Installation Preparation:
-
Notify operations of the planned shutdown
-
Lock out and tag out all incoming power
-
Wait at least 5 minutes for capacitor discharge
-
Verify zero voltage using a calibrated multimeter
-
Tools Required: ESD wrist strap, PH1 screwdriver, Digital multimeter (Fluke 115 or equivalent), Wire markers
-
Data Backup: Record controller parameters, photograph all ribbon cables, photograph resistor jumper settings, record cabinet location and board position
Stage 2 – Removing the Existing Board:
-
Remove cabinet covers, label every connector before removal
-
Disconnect the ribbon cable carefully
-
Remove mounting hardware
-
Pull the board straight out without bending connectors
-
Inspect mating connectors for contamination or damage
-
Keep the original board until commissioning has been completed successfully
Stage 3 – Installing the New Board:
-
Connect ESD wrist strap
-
Verify the complete model number is DS200NATOG3A
-
Copy every jumper and resistor configuration from the original board
-
Install the board squarely into its mounting position
-
Secure mounting screws
-
Reconnect ribbon cables and verify connector orientation
Stage 4 – Power-On & Testing:
-
Pre-Power Checks: Check 24 VDC control supply, inspect for short circuits, verify connector seating
-
Startup: Energize the control cabinet, observe controller diagnostics, confirm stable voltage feedback readings
-
Compare measured values with expected system voltage
-
Run commissioning diagnostics, verify SCR bridge operation under no-load conditions
