FIFE CDP-01-MH
Product Name
FIFE CDP-01-MH moving-sensor center web guide controller.
Product Introduction
CDP-01-MH is a high-precision web guidance controller for moving material webs. It maintains edge, line, or center position of paper, film, foil, textile, and similar rolled materials during unwinding, processing, and rewinding.
Detailed content
Technical Specifications
Input voltage is 90 to 122 VAC or switchable 115/220 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Maximum power consumption is 210 VA. Maximum motor output is 80 W. Internal slow-blow fuse is 2.5 A, 5 x 20 mm. Maximum AC input current is 2 A. Controller weight is approximately 6.1 kg, with some configurations higher.
Function Features
Automatic setup of guide polarity, guide point, and system gain. Manual and automatic modes. Compatible with FIFE infrared, ultrasonic, visible-light, and feeler sensors. Configurable for edge, line, either-edge, or center guiding. Fault detection with LED indicators. Supports electromechanical and electrohydraulic actuators.
Application Scenarios
Paper and pulp processing, plastic film extrusion and converting, foil and metal-strip processing, textile manufacturing, printing presses, and recoiler or rewinder stations.
Performance Parameters
Guide accuracy depends on sensor type, actuator resolution, web speed, and mechanical geometry. The MH version is optimized for recoiler systems and armless recoiler applications with variable ratio control.
Material Composition
Industrial steel or coated metal enclosure with electronic control boards, transformer or switched power section, relay and amplifier assemblies, and front-panel operator controls.
Structure Features
Panel-mount controller with sensor input circuits, actuator output stages, calibration controls, and status LEDs. Connection points support FIFE standard sensors and FIFE guide actuators.
Working Principle
The sensor continuously measures web edge or printed-line position. The controller compares the measured position with the setpoint, calculates correction signal, and drives the actuator to shift the web or rewinder axis. Closed-loop adjustment keeps the material centered or aligned within the defined tolerance.
Installation Requirements
Confirm 115 VAC or 220 VAC selector setting before power-on. Ground the chassis properly. Mount within reach of operators and sensor alignment points. Use only FIFE-compatible sensors and actuators unless otherwise validated.
Usage Notes
Clean sensor optics regularly. Replace the 2.5 A slow-blow fuse only with the identical type. Verify motor polarity and sensor bandwidth calibration before automatic mode. Inspect alarm outputs and actuator travel limits during commissioning.
