Performance Parameters
6.0 A continuous and 18 A peak output, 310 to 340 V DC bus, up to 2.2 kW motor rating, 1000 Hz current loop, 200 Hz speed loop, 8 MHz incremental encoder support, 0°C to 45°C operating range, forced-air cooling.
Material Composition
Aluminium or coated steel drive housing, copper power terminals and motor bush bars, IGBT inverter modules on insulated substrate, FR4 control board with industrial coating, fan assembly with molded impeller, encoder and I/O connectors with plated contacts.
Structural Characteristics
Compact rectangular servo module, front status LEDs and configuration ports, bottom or rear motor power terminals, DC-bus or AC rectifier input section, separate encoder connector, digital and analog I/O terminal block, built-in cooling fan, DIN or panel mounting frame.
Working Principle
AC input is rectified to a 310 to 340 V DC bus. The IGBT inverter generates variable-voltage, variable-frequency three-phase output through space-vector modulation. The inner current loop regulates torque, the intermediate speed loop regulates velocity and the outer position loop regulates commanded position. Encoder or resolver feedback closes the loops. Communication ports exchange setpoints, diagnostics and tuning data with the controller or higher-level motion network.
Installation Requirements
Mount on 35 mm DIN rail or vertical panel with at least 50 mm clearance above and below. Supply AC through a dedicated breaker sized for the input voltage and load. Use shielded three-phase motor cable with protective earth; keep cable length within the drive-specified limit. Use shielded encoder cable separated from power wiring. Ground the drive chassis and motor frame to the cabinet earth bus. Connect brake circuit only to the designated 24 V DC brake output.
Usage Precautions
Perform automatic motor tuning before first operation. Set current limit according to motor nameplate, commonly near 110 percent of rated motor current during commissioning. Do not block the cooling fan intake or exhaust. Replace fan immediately if airflow or vibration abnormality appears. Update firmware only with ELAU-compatible tools. Verify STO wiring and safety certification level before using the drive in personnel-protection functions.
