Repeatability approximately ±0.5 mm. Resolution 0.1 mm. Supply 9–30 VDC. Laser class 2, red visible laser. Protection class IP65. Dimensions 150 × 80 × 55 mm. Weight approximately 690 g.
Functional Features
Non-contact distance measurement. RS-232 and RS-422 serial interface. Programmable analog output 0/4–20 mA. Programmable digital outputs. Digital input for external trigger. Optional Profibus interface through external converter.
Application Scenarios
Crane and gantry positioning. Warehouse and logistics distance measurement. Steel, wood, and paper roll diameter measurement. Container and object positioning. Outdoor and industrial distance sensing.
Performance Parameters
Measuring rate depends on model and mode; DLS-C family commonly supports several hertz to higher rates in fast modes. Operating temperature -10 to +50 °C. Laser wavelength approximately 620–690 nm.
Material And Structure
Metal/IP65 industrial housing. Laser transmitter and receiver optics. 15-pin D-sub and/or screw-terminal connections. ID switch, reset switch, cable gland, and status LEDs.
Working Principle
The sensor emits a laser beam toward the target. Reflected light is received by the optical system. The device calculates distance from the time-of-flight or phase measurement of the reflected laser signal and outputs the result through serial, analog, or digital interfaces.
Installation Requirements
Mount on stable bracket with vibration minimized. Align laser beam to measured target. Avoid transparent, glossy, wet, or strongly inclined surfaces unless using a target plate. Use shielded cables and proper grounding. Keep lens clean.
Usage Precautions
Do not look directly into laser beam. Avoid measuring through heavy dust, fog, rain, or strong sunlight on target. Atmospheric conditions can affect long-distance accuracy. Use target plate for dark or low-reflectivity surfaces.
