Deublin 904-120-188
Product Name
Deublin 904-120-188 Single-Channel Rotary Union for Coolant, Air, and Minimum-Quantity Lubrication
Product Overview
This is a single-passage rotating union designed for machine-tool spindles and rotating equipment that supply coolant, compressed air, or minimum-quantity lubrication. It maintains sealed media transfer between stationary supply lines and rotating shafts.

Functional Features
The union transfers coolant at high pressure and air or MQL at lower pressure through one rotating passage. AutoSense technology adapts seal behavior to the connected media. The balanced silicon-carbide seal extends service life under high-speed rotation. The full-flow bore reduces chip or sediment blockage.
Application Scenarios
CNC machining centers, grinding spindles, milling spindles, turning centers, drilling heads, and rotating tool holders requiring through-spindle coolant, air purge, or mist lubrication.
Material And Structure
The body uses anodized aluminum for corrosion resistance. The rotor uses threaded steel with pilot registration. The mechanical seal uses silicon carbide faces. The bearing area uses labyrinth vents and leakage ports to expel contaminants and reduce bearing contamination.
Working Principle
Stationary supply media enter through the G 3/8 port and pass into the rotor passage connected to the spinning shaft. The balanced mechanical seal retains pressure and limits leakage. AutoSense detection changes seal contact force according to whether coolant, air, or MQL is present.
Installation Requirements
Thread the M16 x 1.5 left-hand rotor into the spindle with the specified pilot seating. Connect the G 3/8 supply with proper thread seal compatible with coolant or air. Align the rotor axially to avoid side load on the mechanical seal. Provide clean filtered coolant and dry regulated air where the process requires separate media.
Usage Precautions
Do not exceed 103.4 bar for coolant, 10 bar for air or MQL, or 71°C for any listed media. Monitor the leakage ports for abnormal discharge. Replace the silicon-carbide seal if coolant purity is poor or abrasive particles are present. Avoid hammering the rotor thread during installation.
