DELTE DELCOM-3222 RS-485/232C
Product Name
Industrial RS232C to RS485 isolated serial communication converter.
Product Introduction
DELCOM-3222 converts RS232C asynchronous signals to RS485 differential bus signals for PLCs, meters, sensors, HMIs and legacy serial equipment. It provides galvanic isolation, automatic RS485 direction control and surge protection for long-distance industrial communication.

DIP switches for termination, baud rate or operating mode according to version.
Front LEDs for power and communication status.
Working Principle
The RS232 side receives asynchronous single-ended frames from a computer, PLC or device. The converter isolates and translates the data to balanced differential RS485 signals. On receive, RS485 differential bus data is converted back to RS232 levels. Automatic direction control switches the RS485 driver without external RTS/CTS hardware.
Installation Requirements
Mount on 35 mm DIN rail inside a sealed or ventilated control cabinet.
Use shielded twisted pair for RS485 A/B wiring.
Install 120 Ω termination only at the two physical ends of the RS485 bus.
Separate RS485 and power cables from variable-frequency drive and high-current AC cables.
Connect shield to ground at one point to prevent ground loops.
Usage Precautions
Do not reverse 24 VDC or supply polarity.
Verify A/B polarity; reversed A/B prevents communication.
Do not exceed 32 standard unit loads on one RS485 segment without repeater.
Avoid condensation, corrosive gas and conductive dust environments.
Disconnect power before plugging or unplugging DB9 connectors.
