B&R X20PD0011
Product Series: B&R X20 Series (Power / Accessories)
Product Introduction:
The B&R X20PD0011 is a power distribution module for the B&R X20 compact I/O system. It takes a single 24 VDC power input and distributes it to multiple X20 modules via the backplane bus. It provides overcurrent protection and power monitoring for the entire X20 segment, ensuring safe and reliable power delivery to all connected I/O modules.

- Centralized 24 VDC power distribution to all X20 modules in the segment
- Electronic overcurrent protection — adjustable threshold per channel group
- Short-circuit protection with auto-recovery — no fuse replacement needed
- Power monitoring — status LEDs indicate power OK, overcurrent, and fault conditions
- Backplane bus integration — seamless connection with all X20 modules
- DIN rail mountable (35 mm TS 35)
Structural Features:
- Housing: Polycarbonate (PC) + glass fiber (GF)
- Screw terminals on top for 24 VDC power input (2.5 mm² max)
- Backplane connector on bottom for X20 bus connection
- LED indicators: Power (green), Fault (red), Per-channel status
Working Principle:
The X20PD0011 receives 24 VDC power via the screw terminals on the top. Internal DC-DC regulation and distribution circuitry conditions the power and feeds it to the X20 backplane bus. Each connected X20 module draws its required current from the bus. The module’s electronic fuse circuitry monitors the current on each channel group. If overcurrent is detected, the affected group is automatically shut down and attempts auto-recovery after a defined delay. If a short circuit is detected, the module shuts down immediately.
Advantages & Highlights:
- Single point of power entry — simplifies cabling and power supply selection
- Electronic fuse (no replacement fuses) — reduces maintenance
- Auto-recovery — minimizes downtime after transient overloads
- Per-group monitoring — precise fault localization
- Compact design — same form factor as X20 I/O modules
Applicable Industries:
- Large automation systems with many X20 modules
- Process automation
- Power generation and distribution
- Oil & gas
- Water treatment
Installation Requirements:
- 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715)
- 24 VDC power supply connected to screw terminals (2.5 mm² max wire)
- Screw torque: 0.5 Nm
- Place at the beginning of the X20 segment (closest to power supply)
Usage Precautions:
- Do not exceed 10 A total output current
- Use a 24 VDC power supply rated for at least 120 % of total load
- Do not connect power to backplane connector — use screw terminals only
- Check electronic fuse settings in Automation Studio for your application
