B&R 3AO360.60-1

Model Series: X20 System (AO = Analog Module — Output)

Product Overview:
The 3AO360.60-1 is a 2-channel analog output module from B&R’s X20 I/O system. It generates analog control signals (current or voltage) to drive field actuators such as control valves, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and proportional controllers. The module features 12-bit resolution and supports both 4–20 mA and 0–10 V output ranges.

Functional Features:

  • 2 independent analog output channels
  • Configurable per-channel: 4–20 mA or 0–10 V
  • 12-bit resolution with simultaneous update
  • Galvanic isolation on all channels
  • LED status indicators per channel
  • Diagnostic data (output status, fault) via Automation Studio
  • Hot-swap capable on X20 bus

Applicable Industries:
Process control, HVAC, water treatment, oil and gas, chemical processing, building automation, pump and valve control.

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount on DIN rail TS 35 (7.5 mm module width)
  • Connect to X20 bus via RJ45 daisy-chain
  • 24 V DC power via X20 bus — no external power required
  • For 4–20 mA: connect actuator in series with module output (loop-powered)
  • For 0–10 V: connect to high-impedance input of actuator/drive
  • Use shielded twisted-pair cable for all analog outputs
  • Max cable length: 100 m (shielded)

Usage Notes:

  • In 4–20 mA mode: total loop voltage (module + actuator + wiring drop) must not exceed 24 V DC
  • In 0–10 V mode: load impedance must be ≥ 2 kΩ
  • Do not short-circuit output terminals
  • Calibrate zero and span via Automation Studio for each channel
  • Single-point shield grounding at controller end
