Bently Nevada 24765-01-01
Product Name
Bently Nevada 24765-01-01 DC case expansion transducer assembly.
Product Introduction
24765-01-01 is a DC-operated LVDT case expansion transducer for steam and gas turbine supervisory systems. It measures thermal growth of the turbine casing relative to the foundation and supplies linear displacement feedback to the 3500 machinery protection platform.

Functional Features
Continuous case-growth measurement.
Spring-return mechanism for bound-foot detection.
Stable scale factor under thermal cycling.
Direct interface to displacement monitor modules.
Supports early detection of restricted sliding feet and casing distortion.
Material Composition and Structure
Stainless/core rod assembly, spring return housing, industrial cable and connector, calibrated LVDT coil, mounting hardware compatible with turbine soleplate and sliding-foot brackets.
Working Principle
The LVDT core is mechanically linked to the turbine sliding foot. Casing expansion moves the core inside the differential coil. A regulated DC excitation produces an output voltage linearly proportional to displacement, which the monitor converts to growth value.
Installation Requirements
Align the transducer axis parallel to the casing expansion vector. Use dial indicators to verify zero angular misalignment. Mount with thermal standoff from uninsulated steam lines. Use shielded twisted-pair signal cable grounded at the monitor end.
Usage Notes
Do not exceed 71°C at the transducer body. Keep core travel within 0 mm to 25.4 mm. Prevent side loading on the spring return rod. Perform full-stroke calibration before commissioning.
