E-bus/K-bus/I-P-Link I/O access through the connected CX1100 power module
Material Composition:
Cooling body: aluminum passive heat sink module
Housing sections: industrial flame-retardant plastic
PC/104 connectors: gold-plated contact elements
Internal boards: multilayer industrial PCB
Structural Characteristics:
Compact stacked embedded CPU module
Front CompactFlash slot, labeling area and diagnostic LEDs
Dual-side PC/104 interfaces for module stacking
Diagnostic LEDs for power, LAN link/activity, TwinCAT status and flash access
Working Principle:
The CPU boots from CompactFlash, loads Windows Embedded and TwinCAT runtime, executes IEC control tasks, and exchanges I/O data through PC/104 with power, fieldbus and terminal modules. Ethernet ports handle programming, HMI and peer communication while the internal switch simplifies line networking.
Installation Requirements:
Stack with a compatible CX1100 power supply module inside the control cabinet
Use E-bus, K-bus or IP-Link power module according to the I/O terminal type
Maintain ventilation clearance around the passive cooling body
Install the real-time clock battery and configured CompactFlash before startup
Usage Precautions:
Power off the stack before removing CompactFlash, battery or expansion modules
Do not cover the passive heat sink or install in enclosed non-ventilated spaces
Backup system image before OS, TwinCAT or firmware changes
Keep the cabinet ambient temperature within 0 °C to +50 °C
