Product Name
Public spare-part sources describe two distinct configurations: SECS/GEM communication module and RF impedance-matching unit. Confirm the physical label, system platform, and BOM before use.
SECS/GEM Communication Variant
Product Name
Fab communication interface module for tool-host data exchange.

Detailed content

Product Introduction
The communication variant provides SECS/GEM connectivity between AMAT equipment and fab host systems. It supports wafer tracking, recipe management, event reporting, and process data collection.

  • Compliance: SEMI E4/E5/E30/E37/E87/E90/E94, S2/S8, CE, UL 61010-1 in selected listings
Function Features
  • Reports equipment variables, alarms, and process events to host
  • Supports GEM300 and factory automation integration
  • Provides redundant Ethernet and secure configuration management
  • Enables remote diagnostics, recipe download, and traceability
Application Scenarios
  • 200 mm and 300 mm fabs
  • CVD, etch, PVD, and metrology host communication
  • APC/FDC data collection and MES integration
Material Composition
  • Industrial PCB with Ethernet transceivers and secure-storage components
  • Shielded RJ45 and serial connectors
  • Metal or coated module housing depending on chassis variant
Structural Characteristics
  • Compact communication card or box module
  • Status LEDs for link, activity, and fault
  • Backplane or external network mounting according to platform
Working Principle
The module converts tool internal events into SEMI-compliant messages. Host commands are parsed, validated, and mapped to equipment functions, while process data is formatted and transmitted over HSMS or SECS-I.
Installation Requirements
  • Verify host software revision, GEM recipe format, and network addressing
  • Connect shielded network cables with proper grounding
  • Configure HSMS IP/port or RS-232 parameters before activation
Usage Notes
  • Do not change security certificates or access roles without fab IT approval
  • Validate message acknowledgements after installation
  • Keep firmware and SEMI compliance documentation updated
