Working Principle:
When the washing machine control board sends a voltage signal to the hot or cold solenoid, the electromagnetic coil generates a magnetic field that lifts the plunger/armature, opening the corresponding valve seat. Water flows from the supply line through the inlet, past the open valve seat, and out through the respective outlet hose into the drum. When the signal is removed, a return spring pushes the plunger back, sealing the valve and stopping water flow. The gradual fill mode uses PWM (pulse-width modulation) to partially open the valve, controlling flow rate.
