Detailed content
Rated Voltage: 400 V AC (three-phase) or 230 V AC (single-phase) variant
Heating Element Material: Incoloy 800 (Ni-Fe-Cr alloy) sheath
Maximum Operating Temperature: 850°C (element surface)
Sheath Diameter: 8 mm (standard)
Sheath Length: 270 mm (active heating length: 200 mm)
Terminal Type: Ceramic insulated high-temperature terminals
Protection Class: IP54 (with terminal box); IP65 (with gland seal)
Insulation Resistance: ≥ 100 MΩ at 500 V DC
Dielectric Strength: 1500 V AC for 1 minute (no breakdown)
Ambient Temperature Range: -40°C to +80°C
Housing Material: Stainless Steel 316L (for corrosive environments)
Watt Density: 35 W/cm² (standard); 50 W/cm² (high-density option)
Key Features:
- Rapid heat-up time: reaches 80% of setpoint within 45 seconds
- Uniform heat distribution along full sheath length
- Resistant to oxidation and scaling at high temperatures
- Compatible with PID temperature controllers
Applicable Industries: Plastic injection molding, food processing, chemical processing, die casting, laboratory ovens, drying systems
Installation Requirements:
- Insert heater into thermowell or directly into process medium
- Ensure minimum immersion depth of 75 mm beyond active zone
- Use thermal paste or compound at contact surface for optimal heat transfer
- Wire gauge: minimum 2.5 mm² copper for 2.7 kW at 400 V
Usage Notes:
- Do not operate heater dry (without process medium) — causes element burnout
- Perform insulation resistance test every 6 months in continuous-duty applications
- Replace element if sheath shows discoloration or blistering
